PILILLA, RIZAL — September 30, 2026. The Rotary Club of Quezon City MediaTech (RCQC MediaTech), the Ka-Techy Club, brought a day of care, companionship, and meaningful service to the senior residents of Josefheim Foundation in Sitio Labon, Bugarin, Halayhayin, Pililla, Rizal.
The project was initiated under the leadership of Legacy President Fellie Soriano Castillo, who entrusted the on-ground implementation to HCP Sophia Mara and CP Meric Mara while she was in Bali, Indonesia for a Rotary partnership engagement.
Josefheim Foundation provides residential care, shelter, food, and daily support for abandoned, neglected, and marginalized senior citizens regardless of religious background. The activity combined practical assistance with personal connection through a feeding program, beauty and personal-care products, free haircuts, games and prizes, dancing, storytelling, and fellowship with the elderly residents.
Conducted in partnership with Gabay at Biyaya sa Kapwa, the project also received support from RCQC MediaTech Honorary Member May Magallanes, who volunteered her time, skills, and resources to provide free haircuts. District Governor Rhyan Virrey contributed sacks of rice to help support the foundation’s continuing food needs.
More than a one-day outreach, the activity strengthened RCQC MediaTech’s commitment to continue supporting Josefheim and its elderly residents.
Through Ka-Techy Cares, the club demonstrated that meaningful community service is not measured only by what is given, but by the dignity, care, connection, and lasting impact created in the lives of those served.
Be More. Be Useful. Be of Service.
